Re: Questions about Westinghouse Mosin Nagants

New England Westinghouse made all parts for the m/91 rifle, including the bayonet and the tools for instance.

The NEW marks are various capital letters with a left pointing arrow.

Re: MGOTW # 51: Ultra Rare Mosin-Nagant Accessories 1

They just shot in the barrack floors, distance between 20 and 25 meters with the rear sight set on 200 paces. Yes there is enough pressure!

No, they projectiles are made specially for the device with a little hole in the bottom, that fits tightly on the front part of the "cartridge". The diameter/calibre would be too small for a musket bullet, btw.

Re: MGOTW # 51: Ultra Rare Mosin-Nagant Accessories 1

Does this very interesting device (Im jealous i want one) need special primers? Also how heavy and what caliber are the projectiles? Is there a false primer in the base that when the rifles firing pin hits it engages some sort of firing pin in the fake case? or do you put the primer into the base o...

Re: MGOTW #54: Rare Chinese Mosin-Nagant Equipment

Karl,    Interesting pieces indeed!  I have a very nice T53 they would compliment nicely!  My T53 is a Factory 26 manufacture from 1953, I am certain it came from Vietnam, as it has no import marks...... ak_milsurp: T/53s are nice ones, normally with a lot of "character", but so...

Re: MGOTW #54: Rare Chinese Mosin-Nagant Equipment

I looked and enjoyed. 8) Those are well made and in very nice condition. Is it usual to find them in that kind of condition. I don't have any of those pouches but other types I have gotten with rifles were moldy and stiff. Hombre: In fact those were the only Chinese pouches I found for sale, so I a...

MGOTW #54: Rare Chinese Mosin-Nagant Equipment

Many of you will have the Chinese version of the carbine m/44, the T/53. But do you have the correct Chinese Mosin-Nagant equipment to carry your ammo to the range  :)? Here it is from top to bottom: Chinese ammo pouch for 7,62x54 R, old model with two straps, Chinese ammo pouch for 7,62x54 R, ...

shadowcat wrote:where do you find these odd accessories?

shadowcat

you need "just" luck and open eyes plus some connections. This device for instance I found when visiting a very small gun show in Austria. Some of the shows there are very nice and interesting, as there are tables of collectors only.

Karl-Heinz - never for cats.  My daughter and sons would also never speak to me.  We have no problem with feral cats in any case. I am so glad that I can stay on this forum  :D :D :D. In the moment we have 7 cats, 5 kitten of 7 weeks included. They are really cute, even for me. Regards
