If you have an extra (or just need some cash), I need one.

None of my issued Soviet rifles came with a cleaning rod, I managed to find five rods on gunbroker, there might be some on evilbay.

Huh, that's interesting that they didn't keep the cleaning rods... Maybe they tied a few knots in their boot laces and used them like a pull through cleaning tool, I've heard of guys doing that with yugoslav AKs, because the bare steel barrels need to be cleaned. Would certainly explain the huge amount of built up gunk in the guns we get.

The cleaning rod channels and nut were packed full of a find brown sandy like soil on each of the rifles so they had been without cleaning rods for some time. I have 11 of them, all M91/30's all with refurb markings on them ( post war) old Century tiny import mark, and no shellac left on the stocks.

There are but I hate paying as much for shipping as they want for the rod. I guess I could just do without it but it bothers me, I guess I will just have to bite the bullet though.

I have a T53 and an M28 that still need a cleaning rod. I know how you feel, but it passes and comes back and passes and comes back.

I gave up on the rod for my T53 long ago. You might have a better chance of finding some chicken lips.

I believe the M44 rod is the same, but as we all know, it's just not correct.

The same but not correct, let me use that in a sentence " Mr Z and I both have the same human type of brain, his is just not correct" I laugh any harder this morning and I might mess myself

Seriously, it's either a tiny bit longer or shorter, I forget at the moment.

The T53 rod has a rounded head instead of the knurled one. Also the threads are different...I tried.

I spent 20 minutes out in the shed looking for the bundle of them I know I have with no luck. 20 minutes may not sound like alot, but it's 92 and humid outside, 120 inside at least, I was about to have a heart attack. I think the mice ate them.

1) I told you before...ice tea, AC in the face and a good movie. 2) Better set some traps around the Model A.

There are always traps in the cars, sticky ones, and snappers. The mousetraps on the outside of the cars have mouthfuls of teeth and disemboweling claws plus they are sneaky mean about catching mice. I found mouse parts just this morning, the cats specialize in vivisection.
